Catholic Life

St Ignatius' Catholic Primary School is a community of love and hope. It provides our children with a Catholic education, which perceives life as a faith journey. Our school is rich in opportunities for children to grow in their own faith journey and we also provide understanding and knowledge in other faiths. We ensure our children are fully prepared for life after primary school and ensure we give them to skills to develop further and strive for their hopes and dreams. The contact and updates we receive from our feeder high schools shows our children are very happy and are confident young people.

Laudato Si Group

Each year we ask children from each year group to apply for our Laudato Si group.  During the final liturgy of the year we choose our new group for the year. They are then presented with some seeds to start their mission of spreading care throughout the world by looking after our 'Common Home'. Mrs Archibald, our headteacher, had the pleasure of visiting the Laudato Si Garden in Rome and it took her breath away looking at the beauty and how peaceful the garden was.  When she returned she wanted to share this with the children so they could continue Pope Francis' work.
